FUORISTAGIONE is a call for business and community projects that aim to reshape the future of the small islands of Sicily and Puglia by moving beyond dependence on seasonal tourism.
We are looking for ideas that have the ambition to imagine new ways of living, working, and creating culture on the islands throughout the year, with a focus on environmental and social sustainability.
The call is open to associations, social enterprises, cooperatives, and organizations that are rooted in or active within island communities and wish to develop new projects or strengthen existing initiatives.
Our goal is to jointly build economic, social, and cultural models capable of:
- counteracting depopulation, particularly among young people;
- promoting traditional knowledge and local identities;
- making the islands vibrant, livable, and attractive places year-round, even beyond the tourist season.
FUORISTAGIONE is structured in two phases:
📍 Phase One: An initial selection process, including free online training to support the development of project ideas.
📍 Phase Two: Selected participants will have the opportunity to access a €5,000 grant to implement their proposed project.
We are looking for projects that invest in:
- economic diversification and local identity;
- education, culture, and community engagement;
- skills development and essential services;
- intergenerational transmission of knowledge.
